
Stuffed Pancake is a very less oil recipe made during fast. Besides being low in oil, it is also quite healthy and tasty. This recipe is stuffed with makhana (Fox nuts) and mungfali (Groundnut) which make it this tasty and easy to make. It gives a nice taste with green chutney and fresh curd.
To prepare green chutney for vrat, add a bunch of fresh coriander leaves, 2 tablespoons of coconut powder, 1 green chili, 1 tablespoon of roasted groundnut along with 1 teaspoon of salt in a grinding jar and prepare chutney. You can also check more of fasting recipes below:
Ingredients for Stuffed Pancake
- Potato – 2 (large)
- Sabudana (Sago) – 4 tablespoon
- Kuttu atta (buckwheat) – 2 tablespoon
- Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
- Rock Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Green chili – 1 or 2 (finely chopped)
- Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Curd – 2 tablespoon
For stuffing
- Makhana (Fox Nut) – 1 cup
- Groundnut (Mungfali) – ½ cup
- Rock salt ( Sendha Namak) – ½ teaspoon
- Tomato – 1 (small)
- Green chili – 1 (chopped)
- Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
How to make Stuffed Pancake for Vrat
Step – 1
First, peel and wash two large-sized potatoes and grate them in a bowl.




Step – 2
Further, in a grinding jar add 4 tbsp of sabudana and prepare a fine powder with it.
Now add this powder with the grated potato.




Step – 3
Mix 2 tbsp of kuttu flour, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, 2 tablespoons of curd, 1 teaspoon of rock salt, and two finely chopped green chili to it and mix all ingredients very well. Prepare a semi-solid mixture.




Stuffing For Pancake
Step – 4
In a wok, add 1 tablespoon of ghee and heat it. Add one cup of makhana, roast it for 5 minutes on low flame until it becomes crispy. Transfer this makhana to a bowl and cool down.
Step – 5
In the same Kadhai, add 1 teaspoon of ghee and half a cup of groundnut, roasted on a medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes with continuous stirring.
Step – 6
Furthermore, transfer the roasted makhana and roasted groundnut to a grinding jar and prepare a mixture from it.




Step – 7
Transfer this mixture to a plate, add half a teaspoon of rock salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, 1 small size chopped tomato, and one finely chopped Green chili to it, and mix all ingredients very well. Stuffing is ready for pancake.




Step – 8
Heat a Tava and place a ladle full of potato mixer on it and press it with the help of a spatula and give a round shape to this pancake. It should be medium thickness.




Step – 9
Drizzle some drops of oil over the pancake and cook until it becomes golden from one side, flip it to another side, and roast. Prepare all pancakes likewise.
Step – 10
Furthermore, place a pancake on hot Tawa and put 2 tbsp stuffing in the center of it, spread it evenly on the whole pancake, and then place another pancake on it




Step – 11
Roast this pancake on both sides by pressing the spatula until they become golden brown from both sides.
The stuffed pancake is ready.




Suggestions
1-Make sure the mixture which would be used for making pancake is in semi-solid form.
2– Don’t overcook the pancake.
3-Stuffing should not be dry otherwise it will spread, so mix lemon juice properly.
